Firstly I want to congratulate all of you for the way you all conducted yourselves while reading and discussing Wonder in class. To discuss and analyse the many complex perspectives that are offered in a book like this shows a lot of maturity and the way the discussions and tasks were completed shows your empathy for others is well developed. I know by the way you all listened intently that you enjoyed reading this book, and that you can all make many connections (Text to Text, Text to Self and Text to World) about this book. On completion of our class novel I would like you to think carefully about the Author's purpose of the text. What did RJ Palacio want you, the reader, to feel/learn/ understand by reading this book. Please leave your thoughts as a comment to this post. The one clear message that I challenge everyone to take on board to their own lives is to make your own decisions after considering other peoples perspectives and to be 'a little kinder than is necessary' every minute, every hour, everyday. The more people on this planet being a little kinder than necessary the better If EVERYONE on this planet.was a little kinder than necessary what could happen......I wonder.
